Meeting Saturday 13 March at 2.00pm
You may be aware from BOS Magazine that mini meeting take place throughout the UK. This message has been sent to you because you are within the London area.
What benefit are mini meetings?
If you are a beginner it is useful to see how other people fold models.
If you are having difficulty with a model perhaps someone else can help.
We are fortunate in the London area to have a number of enthusiasts who design models; therefore a new model appears at most meetings together with diagrams.
If you design models yourself the meetings are an opportunity to test diagrams and receive feedback on your design.
Perhaps you would like to create your own models but don't know where to start - others will be able to give you some advice.
Ultimately Mini meetings are an opportunity to meet other origami enthusiasts.
The next meeting is on Saturday 13 March at 2.00pm at the Festival Hall. Meet at the entrance on the mezzanine level (near the bookshop).
We hope to see you there.
The organiser of the London meetings is Steve Brown (Tel no is in the BOS Magazine). Any questions either ring Steve or send as a reply to this e-mail.
Please note that there will be a meeting in April after the six monthly Convention. For those not able to go to the convention this will be an opportunity to see and fold models from the convention pack. And if you did attend; obtain assistance if you are having difficulties with any models in the pack.
Interesting web site of the month
The following site features card designs; we tried creating the Santa on the roof card at the December meeting, and discovered that it is quite complex, and perhaps better made with larger paper than the 10 x 10” we used.
